Description
The Center for Employment Training (CET) in Coachella, California offers select training programs in industrial careers, particularly for those from disadvantaged populations.
CET’s programs are also unique in that they are designed to meet the needs of each individual.
CET campuses are located in other California cities as well, such as Sacramento, San Jose, Santa Maria, El Centro, Oxnard and Gilroy, as well as in such other states as North Carolina, Virginia and Illinois.
Each of CET’s campus centers offer different programs of study, with the one in Coachella training students for careers in Business Office Technology, Building Maintenance and HVAC.
Since CET is primarily dedicated to educating and supporting individuals from challenged backgrounds, it provides career, academic and other services for single mothers, those who left high school without graduating, and the unemployed.
Unique to CET is its individualized method of training. While all students attend full-time, they work at their own pace as they move from one level of training to the next.
Admission is open to anyone aged 17 or over. Those who are interested in enrolling will need to attend one of CET’s orientation sessions. Financial aid is available to qualifying students.
