Description

Like its namesake, who came from a long line of cosmetologists, J Michael Harrold Beauty Academy represents excellence and professionalism in the beauty industry. The school offers a cosmetology program designed to meet Indiana state board requirements.

The 1500-hour course seeks to cover all elements of the beauty industry. In addition to hairstyling, you’ll learn about manicuring, pedicuring, skincare and chemical treatments.

The curriculum begins in the classroom, teaching theory and fundamental skills, and gradually moves toward hands-on application. You’ll practice your technique first on mannequins, then on patrons at the Harrold Beauty Academy salon.

To apply to Harrold Beauty Academy, you must be at least 16 years old and hold a high school diploma or GED. You will also need to participate in an on-campus admissions interview.

The school offers financial aid in the form of federal programs. Make sure that you fill out the FAFSA to determine your eligibility for Pell grants and student loans.
