JCHS Description
Devoted to educating all types of healthcare professionals, Jefferson College of Health Sciences offers all levels of healthcare training, from certificates to master’s degrees. Located in Roanoke, Virginia, Jefferson College of Health Sciences is one of the few private health colleges in the Southeastern region.
While not usually housed in the same school, master’s degrees in occupational therapy as well as associate’s degrees in occupational therapy assistance may both be found at Jefferson.
Jefferson also offers master’s-level education for physician’s assistants and nurses.
Additional associate’s degrees include those in Physical Therapy Assistance and Respiratory Therapy.
In addition, Jefferson awards bachelor’s degrees in Emergency Services, Nursing, Healthcare Management and Health Psychology among others.
Jefferson College of Health students may earn certifications in Vocational Nursing and Emergency Medical Services as well.
During their time of study, Jefferson students have many opportunities to engage in hands-on clinical work as well as local and international internships.
Classes are offered both on-site as well as through distance learning.
Eligible students may receive some form of financial aid including scholarships, grants, loans, federal work study and tuition advancement.
