Provided by Mid-Continent UniversityMid-Continent University is a Great Commission, Baptist, four=year, teaching institution whose primary purpose is to provide Christ-centered quality higher education. Instruction in the Bible and libveral arts is provided to traditional and non-traditional students through on-campus and off-coampus programs that equip them for Christian leadership and service in a diverse society.

In addition to MCU’s traditional offerings at its Mayfield campus, Mid-Continent’s Advantage Adult Program provides access to postsecondary education for working adults by offering both Baccalaureate and Associate degrees at over 30 locations in western Kentucky and neighboring states.

The University offers both two and four year degrees in a variety of majors, all with a Christian world view. Mid-Continent University's Elementary Education Program has ranked in Kentucky's top three in recent years. Also, their athletic department continues to maintain success in NAIA and NCCAA competition. The school has grown rapidly in the past sixteen years, now with enrollment over 1,800. In May of 2007, Mid-Continent University named former college and NBA basketball star Winston Bennett the head coach of its men's basketball program.
