Description

If you’re looking for a cosmetology career in West Virginia, Mountaineer Beauty College has the resources and expertise to help you get there. The school features modern facilities and an experienced teaching staff, so you can get the training you need to take the State Board exam.

Mountaineer Beauty College offers academics in cosmetology and manicuring. Both of these courses begin four times per year, with a full-time schedule Monday through Friday.

The Cosmetology program is a 2000-hour course that begins with 300 hours of classroom learning. Once you’ve completed this portion of the curriculum, you’ll practice your skills by working on real patrons in the school’s clinic.

The Manicuring course is structured similarly, but because it runs for 400 hours, only the first 100 are spent in the classroom.

Financial aid is available at Mountaineer Beauty College in the form of federal grants and loans. Students in the Cosmetology program are eligible for federal financial aid, but because of its short length, the Manicuring program is not. However, MBC offers a 600-hour version of the Manicuring course, which is eligible for federal financial aid programs.

Admissions requirements for MBC include a high school diploma or GED, a copy of your birth certificate and a valid West Virginia ID.
