For decades, Westchester School of Beauty Culture in Mt. Vernon, New York has been offering training programs in Hairdressing, Cosmetology and Esthetics.

It is committed to preparing students for a future in the cosmetology field, and much of its training is provided through work with actual clientele.

Teachers enhance student learning through lectures, demonstrations, presentations by guest speakers, and clinics with potential clients. The clinic offers services to the general public, such as hair coloring and styling, perms, and skin care.

The school has flexible full and part-time schedules during the day, in the evenings, and on the weekends. Those who enroll full-time can finish their programs in under a year.

Federal financial aid is accepted from qualifying students. Applicants are encouraged to meet with financial aid and admissions counselors on campus. Counselors can help applicants with filling out forms and figuring out possible financing options.
