Southern Methodist College’s goal is to prepare men and women for Christian life and service. The college was established in 1956 and has become known for its highest academic standards and ability to teach Christian leaders to lead and live for the glory of God. The school is currently located in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Southern Methodist College offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs, as well as certificate programs. All programs are for Biblical, Christian, or Pastoral studies.

The school offers daytime and evening classes. Students should speak to an academic advisor to learn the current course availability.
The application process at SMC includes, at a minimum:

*Completing and submitting an admissions application accompanied by a recent photo and 2-3 page Christian experience essay
*Reviewing the biblical foundations and code of conduct statement
*Having two non-familial references complete and submit reference forms.

Southern Methodist College strives to ensure that worthy men and women are able to receive a high-quality Christian education, regardless of their financial status. Therefore, SMC works to keep tuition costs at a minimum, and charges the same for in-state and out-of-state residents alike.
