Description

Mercy/St. Luke’s Radiologic Technology program is ideal for those who want to get an equal amount of learning and clinical experience.

Located in Cedar Rapids, Indiana, the Mercy/St. Luke’s program was the first of its kind; that is, a program offered through two clinical facilities. In this case, the two facilities are Mercy Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital.

The full-time, two year program at Mercy/St. Luke’s trains and educates its students through a combination of lectures, projects and lab activities. In combination with this classroom learning, students work extensively with faculty or professional technologists at St. Luke’s or Mercy’s Radiology Departments. Providing true, hands-on, practical experience, the clinical hours are a crucial part of this program.

St. Luke’s/Mercy also has a collaborative program with Kirkwood Community College that allows students to earn their associate’s degree from Mercy/St. Lukes while at Kirkwood.

Some examples of the financial aid sources eligible students might receive are federal loans, grants and PLUS loans. Private scholarships from non-profits, businesses and associations may also be sought out, but are not offered through the school.
