IRSC Description

With the abundant offerings of a state university in a small, intimate college setting, Indian River State College is the best of both worlds.

Whether you’re looking for a career in the performing arts or in medicine, you can find it among Indian River’s 150 programs leading to a bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or career certificate.

The theater department, for example, offers majors in Acting, Dance, Music or Music Therapy. In addition to providing courses in these disciplines, Indian River’s multiple theatres give students the chance to test out what they’ve learned. The department also offers a number of internships for practical application.

The Health Sciences division is equally impressive in its range of program offerings. Included among the 25 program options are those in Registered Nursing, Physical Therapy, Medical Assisting and Radiography.

Indian River State College has its main campus in St. Lucie, Florida, and has three additional campuses located in Okeechobie, Martin, and Indian River counties.

Indian River State College stays current with many online class offerings, state-of-the art classrooms, and advanced medical and other technologies.

Student services at Indian River State College include an Academic Resource Center located on every campus. These centers provide free tutoring, test preparation, and academic, career and financial aid counseling.

Indian River State College offers financial aid to eligible students in the form of loans, scholarships, work-study and need-based grants. As a commuter school, there is neither on-campus housing nor a meal plan offered. The majority of students attend part-time.
