Question: is a degree from indiana business college worth something???

I have been attending indiana business college for a month now. i have been told by 3 people now that it is a joke and employers look at your degree as a joke. 1 person is a graduate from there but different campus and said you wont find a good job with an IBC degree. Does anyone have factual input? i need to know before i keep going. I would like to hear from a graduate to see how the luck has been or employers to see how they look at ibc degrees

Indiana Business College is a 106 year old, nationally accreditted college that has over 75,000 graduates. A college that is a "joke" simply would not be able to operate for that long and produce that many graduates. Who are these three people? Did they graduate from Indiana Business College or did they attempt to go to the college and just couldn't "cut the mustard"? Are they education experts? How are YOU enjoying attending Indiana Business College? What are you doing to embrace your education? If I were you, and I had questions about the college, I would contact someone AT the college and ask those questions. I am sure that they will be happy to assist.

Question: Freshman entering ISU which requires Freshman to live on campus; does this apply if you are already married?

My wife will be entering ISU in 2009 as a Freshman. ISU requires all Freshman to live on campus. I will be attending Indiana Business College at the same time. IBC does not require Freshman to live on campus. The schools are only 8 miles away from each other and we are planning to live together. Does the rule of Freshman living on campus still apply if you are married, and if so do they allow husband and wife to share a room or something of the sort?

Most colleges exempt married students from the requirement of on-campus housing. Some do not. Some colleges actually offer married student, or family housing. If space is available, you can apply and maybe get a subsidized apartment, but those usually go first to students with children. In no case would you be able to share your wife's dorm room, but again, they probably either will exempt her, or have some sort of family housing. You'll need to call ISU to find out their specific rules. I actually had a friend who was 32, single, and had to live in the dorms his first year. If he'd been married or a veteran, he'd have been exempted. He actually ended up having a fun time.
