SSU Description

Savannah State University, located in the historic city of Savannah, Georgia, is the oldest public historically black college (HBCU) in the state. Today, Savannah State University offers educational opportunity for all students, from all over the country.

Faculty and staff aim to never lose sight of its original mission, which was to promote education and self worth to all citizens, regardless of race or class.

Bachelor’s and master’s degrees can be earned in several concentrations in the College of Business Administration, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, or College of Sciences and Technology.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of student support services to help them exceed academically, thrive mentally, and prepare for their professional endeavors.

Services such as career counseling, academic advising, health and counseling clinics, academic workshops, and many more are offered to support the needs of students, academic and otherwise.
