Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit, or Yeshiva Gedolah Rabbinical College, offers Talmud instruction for Jewish students. Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit, located in the pleasant Oak Park/Southfield neighborhood of Southeast Michigan, is open to all men of the Jewish faith and has bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs in rabbinical and Talmudic studies.
The faculty at Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit is dedicated to developing the critical thinking skills in each student. Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit values true Talmud scholars, who understand the ancient text of the Talmud as well as the responsibility to community and faith.
Talmud studies includes instruction and discussion on Jewish law, ethics, philosophy, customs and history. Students are encouraged to be aware of their communities and how their new scholarly knowledge of the Talmud will impact those communities.
As a Talmud scholar, students are able to pursue a profession as a rabbi, Talmud instructor, or any other career in the field. Yeshiva Gedolah of Greater Detroit believes study of the Talmud is a personal, spiritual pursuit, and does not need to define a persons career path.
