PGCC Description

Each year, more than 35,000 students benefit from the versatile academics at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC). PGCC offers programs in more than 100 fields of study, from mathematics to hospitality, tourism and culinary arts. Whether you seek professional training or a well-rounded liberal arts education, PGCC has a program to accommodate you.

Despite being a commuter college, PGCC has a vibrant campus with more than 40 student clubs and organizations. Student life at PGCC might involve joining a multicultural club, the Honors Academy or one of about 10 NJCAA sports teams.

Because of its open admissions policy, PGCC makes enrolling in classes easy. Most people are eligible for admissions at Prince George’s, though requirements for individual programs may vary. If you’re just taking classes for personal enrichment, you can easily register through the college’s Owl Link system.

Prince George’s Community College offers both merit- and need-based financial aid. The FAFSA is required for need-based aid, while merit scholarships may have a separate application or other requirements. The deadline for the FAFSA is March 1.

Detailed Ratings

Prince George's Community College is the most plaisant college in Maryland. The way teachers taugh encourage me and help me undersand more and more the material. Before and after every classes teachers are disponible to help sudents who did not understand well the previous or the corrent material taught. There is a students room where they meet to discours or to eat if they don't have class, and there is the students study room which is quiet and what i like the most is the huge dictionary in that room. There is also a computer room for students personal reseach; that roomis different to the computer lap where teachers taught their material. The staff are ready to help students in desability and students who came in class and appear like they have may be personal problems. There are special advisor for that kind of students and each day advisors are there to check if the student they helped is going go.
