Overall

I really enjoyed the faster pace of the quarter system. A more business-like atmosphere than the school I transferred from. It was just what I needed after a very social-minded freshman year. More of a quiet commuter school. I stay in the on-campus apartments which worked out well. Much better than the wild dorm scene I had transferred from. Plenty of social options and the beauty of the Bay Area when you left the campus.

Academics

Class size never too large. Opportunity to speak with professors without having to book appointments. I found that most classes in the business area had group activities and tasks where you had to work together. Good preparation for the real world of business.

College Life

A bit sterile on the social atmosphere front, but if you want to get things done, that's what you need. Plenty of social opportunities in the surrounding area (S.F, Berkeley, etc). Most social interaction was initiated by the friendships made in the classroom (group tasks) and on-campus living. Always felt safe.

Overall

I wanted to be a CPA and the school had a big staff of very experienced accounting professors. My degree was a bachelors in business with an empasis in accounting. I communted to the school on a daily basis and went to the extension in concord, ca and i graduated in 1994.

Academics

The school had an outstanding accounting department. Many of the professors had a lot of real business experience, not just academic backgrounds. I ended up graduated in 1994 and I passed the CPA shortly after I graduated. The school did a good job in preparing me for that exam.

College Life

Did not socialize much since I was working and going to school. I did feel very safe on campus. I never went to any of the sporting events. I never joined any of the clubs or organizations while I was attending the school. I spent a lot of time at the library studying for my exams.
