As Oklahoma’s oldest technology career center, Tulsa Tech in Tulsa, Oklahoma has the strength of its history behind it as well as the lure of updated and progressive offerings.
Students at Tulsa Tech don’t simply train for some of the most marketable careers. They also work in conjunction with local businesses to learn the latest technologies in their particular field.
At Tulsa Tech, academics are divided into career clusters. This is Tulsa Tech’s way of assisting students to zero in on which specific major they’d like to choose. Clusters at Tulsa Tech are grouped into such broad fields as Architecture and Construction, Business Management and Administration, Education and Training, Health Sciences, Information Technology and others. By first looking at the industry that interests them and then at the specific career areas within that industry, students are better guided towards the area that best suits them.
Once students have decided on their major, Tulsa Tech’s career services will do its best to assist them in gaining work experience through internships and externships. As students approach graduation, career services will also provide job referrals and access to employment databases.
Other student services include academic advising, services for the disabled and financial aid offerings for those who qualify.
