School Description

Provided by Trinity Bible College

Trinity Bible College is a biblically based institution of higher education providing a Christ-centered Pentecostal environment for academic and spiritual preparation of men and women for ministry in church vocations and for service in other professions.

All of our academic programs share the central purpose of preparing Spirit-filled men and women for Christian service. Whether it is in the context of vocational ministry, education, business, music, counseling, or other areas of study your personal, professional and spiritual development are essential.

Every B.A. and A.A. program at Trinity includes a core curriculum of classes in Bible and Theology. Most B.A. programs of study include the Major in Biblical Studies particularly those with a vocational ministry focus. Due to the educational requirements of the Teacher Education and Business Administration programs most students will choose the Biblical Studies Minor, however some may choose the Biblical Studies Major in order to have a broader Bible basis.

Our size and unique setting makes every student important. You are not likely to get "lost" in the crowd. Our student-faculty ratio of 11:1 allows you to actually become acquainted with your instructors, making your educational experience more personal and meaningful.

Trinity provides you with the opportunity to learn in a Christian environment, develop life-long relationships in a Spirit-filled collegiate setting, and mature and develop in your walk with God. Chapel services and Christian Service opportunities supplement the classroom experience and enhance practical spiritual development. Perhaps the most important element is to explore the calling of God in your life regardless of vocation.

Trinity Bible College is located on a beautiful 28-acre campus on the east side of Ellendale, North Dakota. The centerpiece of the campus is the Block Memorial Chapel. Other buildings include the Fred J. Graham Library, the Lowell Lundstrom Heartland Student Life Center, the Ray Ulmer Field House, the Wead Student Center and cafeteria, four residence halls, administration and classroom buildings. A football field and a large practice field make up the rest of the campus grounds.

Trinity Bible College

From Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia

Trinity Bible College is a private college in Ellendale, North Dakota affiliated with the Assemblies of God church. The school was first founded in Devils Lake in 1948, but after several moves, settled in Ellendale in 1972 where it assumed ownership of the former campus of the North Dakota State Normal and Industrial School for a mere $1 and an agreement to upgrade the campus and facilities. The school primarily offers instruction in religion, with small programs in business, teacher education, and fine arts.

The school has gained attention in recent years due to its struggling football team, which once lost a game to Rockford College by a score of 105 to 0, as chronicled in the 2005 book Keeping the Faith by Shawn Fury. The school's sports teams are members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). They were in the news in the fall of 2005 when Northwestern College located in Minnesota scheduled a football doubleheader (two games in the same day), the first of which against Trinity. The football team was also a member of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference from 1997 to 2007.
