Description

For more than 40 years NTMA Training Center of Southern California has been preparing Los Angeles and Orange County area residents for careers in machining and manufacturing.

In addition to being a well-established school, NTMA employs instructors who have both professional experience in their trade as well as formal training in education.

Located in Norwalk, California, on the border of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, NTMA provides easy access to the big city.

Through its Machinist Training program, students learn the skills necessary to operate a variety of equipment devices, such as:

  • Mills
  • Lathes
  • Grinders
  • Drill Presses

Students learn skills needed to efficiently use, inspect and adjust machinery through hands-on methods.

Instructors have all been employed as professionals in the machining, tooling and manufacturing industries and all are required to either have an adult teaching credential or at least be working towards one. Students, therefore, get to train with instructors who are both professional tradesmen as well as professional teachers.

All students also receive job placement assistance as they prepare to graduate. Financial aid is available to help with tuition and possibly other fees and, along with admissions and enrollment procedures, may be discussed with an NTMA representative.
