With a history of training pilots for commercial airlines as well as for the U.S. National Air Force, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology is a respected provider of pilot training and aviation education.
Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Spartan offers an FAA-approved degree program in professional piloting, which has trained pilots for national and international airlines as well as military forces for more than 80 years.
Spartan also awards two-year degrees and diplomas in such related fields as:
- Aviation Maintenance Technology
- Aviation Technology Management
Admissions to Spartan College require a high school diploma or GED and submission of ACT, SAT, Compass, ASVAB, Accuplacer or Asset test scores. Those entering the pilot-training program must also have approximately 60 credits of course-work in the aviation field.
The minimum required age of entry is 18. The first step in the admissions process is an interview, after which applicants will be taken through the admissions process step-by-step.
Federal student loans and Pell grants are some of the need-based sources of financial aid available to eligible Spartan students. There is also an Academic Competitiveness Grant, which is awarded based on academic performance.
Scholarships are also available and may be given out based on a number of factors, including academic merit, cultural heritage, financial need and area of study.
