The University of Tennessee (UT), sometimes called the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT Knoxville or UTK), is the flagship institution of the statewide land-grant University of Tennessee public university system in the American state of Tennessee. The system is headquartered in Knoxville and includes campuses in Memphis, Martin, Tullahoma, and Chattanooga.
Additionally, UT-Battelle, a partnership between the university and the Battelle Memorial Institute, manages Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
The university traces its roots to September 10, 1794, when Blount College was chartered by the legislature of the Southwest Territory, when Knoxville was the territorial capitol. In 1826, what was by then named East Tennessee College moved from Gay Street in downtown Knoxville to a 40 acre (160,000 m²) tract named Barbara Hill (in honor of Governor Blount's daughter). Known to students and alumni today as simply "The Hill," it is only a small part of the Knoxville campus but remains at the heart of UT academic life.
The University of Tennessee Forensic Anthropology Facility, nicknamed the "Body Farm", is located near the University of Tennessee Medical Center on Alcoa Highway (US 129). Founded by Dr. William M. Bass in 1972, the Body Farm features numerous cadavers posed in various situations on a fenced plot of land. Scientists at the university study how the human body decays in differing circumstances to gain a better understanding of decomposition.
Geography of the University of Tennessee campus changed in 1998, when the university changed the name of Yale Avenue to Peyton Manning Pass in honor of the former Volunteer (and now Indianapolis Colts) quarterback. Peyton Manning Pass and Phillip Fulmer Drive meet at the football stadium in what is commonly called a "T" intersection.

Your first consideration has to be what you hope to major in, and what size school you want to attend. UTK is huge, and you will be running all over the place! That said, I loved the two years I spent there in the late 70's. Yes, it can be a party place, but certainly does not have to be your focus. But be prepared to have classes with hundreds of other students, especially during those core classes freshman year.
If going to a smaller, urban school is more your style, then look to UTC. Chattanooga is a lovely city, but not too big. The campus is in a beautiful part of town, the city is ringed with mountains and the weather is very pleasant.
MTSU is in Murfreesboro, which has a small town feel, IMHO. Also very pretty. And you are near Nashville, which is my favorite city in Tennessee.
There is also ETSU, East Tennessee, which is located in the tri-city area near the VA/TN border. And UT Memphis which has a very strong health studies reputation.
And Tennessee has other great schools, both public and private. So you have your work cut out for you! Good luck and GO VOLS!!

The only one of these that I have heard of is University of Tennessee. Generally, you want to go to a college that people have heard of as this will increase your chances of getting a job.
Here is a ranking of all the colleges:

I am not saying that these rankings are exactly correct or were done fairly . . . but they give you a general idea of how well-known/respected a school is.

It's a good school. It's also big so if you don't want to go to a big college then it's not for you. The area is pretty nice and there is a lot to do there, wspecially when the fair is in town. I lived in Tennessee for 10 years and have seen the college. You can go to the following web site and find out more.

Which campus? There are campuses in Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga and Tullahoma. Check out the official website. You will probably get many differing opinions (mostly from sports fans who have not attended Univ of Tenn at any of their campuses.) You should visit any school you are interested in attending and decide for yourself. I am a UTK grad ( major in Microbiology and minor in Biochemistry). I have friends and relatives who also attended in other colleges, including Business Administration, Finance, Nursing. All of us are doing well in our respective fields.

I am torn between these three graduate schools and would like to know if anyone had opinions on any of them!?

I'm currently an undergraduate student at UT-Knoxville majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I would decide which school has a stronger program for your major. I would also look at the benefits i.e., career services programs, research opportunities, facilities, etc. But I'm sure you know all that. The graduate students I know ( in engineering) don't really have to pay for tuition due to the research programs or Teaching/Lab Assistant programs that they participate in that gives them stipends for tuition. I'm personally very pleased with my decision in attending UT and I am not from the state of Tennessee, I'm actually from Georgia.
Good luck with whichever institution you choose!
