WIU Description

From the moment you are accepted to the day you graduate (and even beyond), Western Illinois University in Macomb is there to help you along the way.

WIU Macomb is one of two campuses available, the other being the Quad Cities campus in Moline, Illinois. WIU Macomb brings you the immersion and quality of a traditional university, but with small class sizes for individualized attention.

The First Year Experience program at WIU Macomb is designed to help freshmen transition into college student life. First-year students enrolled in FYE will take specialized classes with other freshmen, giving them an opportunity to interact with others in the same situation of being a new kid on campus.

WIU Macomb offers a wide variety of majors for both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Popular undergrad majors include Law Enforcement and Justice Administration, Elementary Education, Biology and others. The top graduate programs at WIU Macomb include Educational Leadership, Counseling, Business Administration, and other education-based programs. The ROTC program is also popular at WIU Macomb.

Tuition is offered at a lower rate for in-state students and for students hailing from Iowa, Montana, Indiana and Wisconsin. Financial aid is available to those who qualify in the form of loans and grants. For more information, contact Western Illinois University Macomb today.
