The purpose of Mid Michigan Community College is to provide educational and community leadership for the development of human ability. To this end the College provides post-secondary education and services to enable students and the community to achieve success in a global society.
Mid Michigan Community College
Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) is a two-year public college founded in 1965. The college has two locations in Harrison, Michigan and Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The majority of the campus is in Harrison on of land. It contains the majority of the programs the college offers. The Mt. Pleasant campus consists of a three-story office building which has been converted in to classrooms and administration for the Isabella County area. The college is best known for its vocational training (especially in nursing) and its partnership with Central Michigan University also located in Mount Pleasant. MMCC serves around 5,000 students annually.
In June 2006, "Mid" broke ground for a large science and allied health building in Mount Pleasant.
