Description

Wards Corner Beauty School is a respected, accredited and licensed institution. The instructors are also up on the latest salon techniques, so that students who go through the program Wards come away with career training that is valued and relevant in the beauty arts industry.

Wards Corner is located in Norfolk, Virginia, and has an additional campus in Virginia Beach. Wards offers one program that teaches students the methods and skills needed to become licensed cosmetologists, including:

  • Hairstyling
  • Nail Care
  • Skincare

Since instructors regularly attend workshops on the beauty industry, they are constantly learning about the latest trends in hair, makeup, skincare and nail care. Students then get the benefit of finding out what the most current styles and techniques are.

All Wards Corner students also get to put what they learn to practice by providing services at the school’s public salon.

Since Wards Corner is accredited by such national agencies as the NAACS, graduates come away with training from a reputable school, respected throughout the salon industry.

Wards Corner Beauty School is an open admissions institution, meaning that they accept anyone who is at least 16 years old and has a high school diploma or GED. Students may also receive credit for previous cosmetology courses, as long as they provide an official transcript.

Financial aid is available to any student who is determined to have a strong financial need. After filling out a FAFSA, the Department of Education and the financial aid officers at Wards will determine what a student’s need is and how much financial assistance they ought to be given, whether through loans, grants, work-study or a combination of these sources.
