DBU Description
Dallas Baptist University offers all levels of degrees, educating students through integrated academics that blend spirituality, learning and physical recreation.
While it is a four-year university, Dallas Baptist grants more than just bachelor’s and graduate degrees. There are also associate degree options as well as certificate programs. A weekend college for adult learners pursuing their degree is also available.
The colleges and divisions include such subjects as Business, Christian Faith, Education, Fine Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Professional Studies, where students may major in such fields as Criminal Justice, Hotel Management, Psychology and Marketing.
Spirituality is an integral part of one’s study at Dallas Baptist, as students are always examining concepts and ideas through the Christian worldview.
Outside of the classroom students engage in prayer, ministry and other spiritual and religious activities.
Equally important at Dallas Baptist is physical health and well-being. Competitive and non-competitive sports play a big part in student life as they help to ease stress, while providing a social outlet and improving overall health.
While Dallas Baptist uses grades and test scores as admissions criteria, one’s personal essay and commitment to Christianity are equally important.
Financial aid is available to Dallas Baptist students, assuming they meet eligibility requirements.
