Lynn University (LU) is a private, non-profit university in Boca Raton, Florida, founded in 1962.
The university currently hosts students from 40 states and 90 nations. The students also complete a required international study experience as part of their major program, participating in a faculty-led study tour or spending a semester abroad at American College Dublin (Ireland-ACD). ACD is one of the top private colleges in Ireland. It is well recognised by HETAC. 95 % percent of ACD students successfully finish their studies for the reason being the size- the lecturers in ACD see people not as a number but as a student that wants to succeed therefore they do their best in order to help them achieve their goals. American College students often after graduating obtain a job of their dreams.
Lynn University on the other hand is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award associate's, baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees.
The university is named for the Lynn family (Eugene M. Lynn), noted philanthropist.
The university offers 17 undergraduate degrees and five graduate degrees with more than 70 specializations through its five colleges including English, international relations, human services, liberal arts, biology, psychology, criminal justice, emergency and disaster management and planning, business administration, music, education, hospitality management, communications, journalism and graphic and visual communication.
