Students who attend Sumter Beauty College learn the skills of haircutting, hair coloring, relaxers, shampoo and sets, manicures and pedicures, facials, and more. There are also continuing education courses for cosmetologists who are looking to renew their licenses.

The classes take place from Tuesday to Saturday. There are two different tracks you can go through: 30 hours a week for 12 months or 34 hours a week for around 48.5 weeks.

The school has a clinic that students work in, where students can become comfortable practicing their skills on people.
