Universal Beauty School in Sweetwater, Florida, teaches and offers a range of beauty and wellness services, including those rarely offered anywhere.
Academics include about half a dozen career-oriented programs, like:
- Barbering
- Cosmetology
- Full Specialist
- Nail Technology

The Full Specialist and Cosmetology programs provide students with a comprehensive range of skills, including less common spa and beauty treatments.
Some of these more specialized treatments include:
- Permanent makeup
- Eyebrow tint
- Brazilian wax
- Lymphatic drainage
As part of their program, all students offer the treatments and services that they learn at the school’s public salon.
Students could, therefore, offer everything from these specialized treatments to facials to hairstyles and manicures.
To qualify for admissions, applicants will need to pass the Ability to Benefit Test. They must also have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 16 years old.
Universal Beauty School offers federal financial aid, including Pell grants, SEOG grants, student loans and work-study awards. To apply for financial aid, students must submit a FAFSA. They must also not be in default on a student loan.
