Penn State Description

Penn State New Kensington offers students the first two years of over 160 baccalaureate programs and then has them relocate to University Park, or one of Penn State's other campuses to complete their respective degrees.

Baccalaureate degrees from Penn State New Kensington are offered in the following fields: applied psychology, business, communications, electromechanical engineering technology, information sciences and technology, nursing or organizational leadership. Associates degrees can be obtained in one of seven programs: biomedical engineering technology, business, mechanical engineering technology, information sciences and technology, letters, arts and sciences, radiological sciences, and science - general option. It is also possible for students to earn graduate degrees.

The strategic mission of Penn State New Kensington is to serve the constituents of the campus' service area by meeting Penn State's land-grant mission, in the modern sense by providing higher education opportunity and economic development for Pennsylvania, while preserving the characteristics that make the campus unique.
