MCA Description
Since 1936, the Memphis College of Art has been providing students with not only a comprehensive art education, but also a liberal arts tradition in an effort to create well-rounded, critical-thinking professionals.
Visit the campus in Memphis, Tennessee and you’ll find students devoting their time to both creating and studying art, as the school encourages rigorous academics in addition to creative freedom.
MCA also has a number of helpful programs, including the ability to study at a selection of other local colleges without paying extra fees or tuition. That way, if a student believes that classes in marketing or business administration might help him or her to succeed in a career, those classes will be available.
MCA also has a vibrant student life and organizes international trips to allow students to broaden their artistic horizons and see works in cities like Paris, London or Moscow.
Undergraduate programs cover everything from Drawing, Painting or Photography to Printmaking, Animation, Digital Media or Graphic Design. Memphis College of Art also offers master’s degrees in Studio Art and Art Education.
