Description

Bellingham Beauty School is a cosmetology school with a simple mission: to prepare its students to pass state board exams and work in the beauty industry. To accomplish this goal, Bellingham takes an individualized approach to education, tailoring its instruction to each student’s personal needs.

The school offers programs in cosmetology and manicuring. The cosmetology program is 1800 hours and includes orientation, basic training, a clinical portion, and preparation for the state board exam. The manicuring program is 650 hours, consisting of nail care, manicuring, pedicuring, artificial nail work, and safety and sanitation.

Bellingham stresses the importance of customer service. While it does not enforce a strict dress code, it’s important to be aware of the impact of your appearance and attitude. This becomes especially important in the clinical segment of your education, where you’ll work with actual clients.

Admissions requirements for Bellingham include a high school diploma or GED and two letters of recommendation. Upon application, you should also fill out the FAFSA to see if you’re eligible for financial aid. While it does not offer scholarships, Bellingham participates in federal programs like Pell grants and Stafford loans.
