The mission of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System is to prepare Louisiana's citizens for improved quality of life, workforce success, and continued learning.

Our technical college campuses offer a vast number of classes and programs that teach high demand skills needed to get a job, to cross-train for different positions, or retrain for a new career.

The college is a complex mix of challenging academics, hands-on career programs and unique opportunities that allow you to pursue your interests both on and off campus, in Acadiana and around the world an opportunity for you to prepare for what's next and to gain experience with what matters.

Program lengths are two years or less. Training programs include occupational and technical fields, general education, continuing education, business and industry specific training, and other special modifications of programs as necessary to meet the requirements of business and industry.

Students have many opportunities to be involved at Region 4 campuses. From volunteering in the community to planning an event, from writing for the student news to competing in skills competitions, there are many things students can do to enhance their educational experiences. Research shows that student involvement is linked to academic success. There are numerous advantages to participating in activities, such as building your leadership skills, meeting new people and networking, building your resume, having out-of-class practical learning experiences, and making friends. So find something that interests you and make your collegiate experience what you want it to be by getting involved!
