Description

Some schools use their extensive resources as a selling point, while others tout the intimacy of the small college experience. At Waynesburg University, you get the best of both worlds. With a small to mid-sized student body, the school isn’t overwhelmingly large, yet it offers over 70 academic programs in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies.

A private university, Waynesburg maintains extensive financial aid for its students, provided they meet requirements. In addition to numerous departmental and competitive scholarships, the school has four merit-based scholarships that are automatically awarded to students with the required high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores.

Student life at Waynesburg is varied and rich. There are quite a few athletic opportunities available, including nine men’s and women’s varsity teams. Waynesburg varsity teams compete in the ten-member Presidents’ Athletic Conference, which is in Division III of the NCAA.

As a Christian university, Waynesburg University has a strong history of community service. The Center for Service Leadership helps to organize diverse service opportunities, from local work in Pennsylvania to mission trips to South America. The school also offers community service work-study as well as the Bonner Scholar Program, which awards up to $4,000 to 60 students who show a passion and commitment for community service.
