The mission of the Career Academy of New York is to:(1)Provide performance-based occupational training to prepare students for entry-level employment in commercial cooking, hospitality management, and the medical assisting field.(2)Help students gain the confidence needed to perform at their highest potential and pursue life-long learning and advancement. (3)Help students understand and meet professional ethical standards. The administration and faculty of the Career Academy of New York are committed to facilitating the mission by: (1)Meeting standards of excellence as determined by its accrediting agencies. (2)Delivering programs that meet the needs of the community. (3)Providing the support services needed to allow all students to achieve their goals. (4)Ensuring that the school has the resources needed to realize its educational objectives. Training at the Career Academy of New York is performance-based using simulated work environments run by industry professionals. Graduates are equipped with the practical skills needed to meet the demands of the intense culinary and hospitality workplaces of New York City. In addition, students learn teamwork, professional standards and ethical practices.
