Students who left high school may benefit from College of the Albemarle’s tuition-free high school education program. Those who have graduated from high school may choose from one of Albemarle’s professional or transfer associate’s degrees.

Located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, College of the Albemarle’s free high school program consists of basic skills courses, preparing students to take the GED. There are also classes offered in ESL and GED-preparation.

Once students obtain their high school diploma they can get an associate’s degree in Business, Nursing, Law Enforcement, Information Technology, Marine Science, Medical Assisting and other professions. Those enrolled in transfer programs can major in Fine Arts, General Studies, Liberal Arts or Science.

Students may enjoy a number of helpful programs including career services, personal counseling, tutoring and support with writing.

Degree programs do charge tuition, but qualifying students may receive financial aid through loans, grants, veteran’s benefits and other sources.
