Our mission is to train and produce graduates ufficiently knowledgeable to seek and find employment in the beauty industry. The successful student should be able to function effectively in one of the many specialty areas such as: Hair Stylist, Barber, Hair Colorist, Manicurist, Makeup Artist or as a Beauty Salon Operator. Normal progression should move him or her to positions such as Barbrer/Beauty Salon Manager.

Cosmetologists that wish to perform Barber services and Barbers wishing to provide Cosmetology services must complete a 400 hour Crossover Training Course to satisfy State Licensing Requirements.

Barbering students learn the art of shaving and trimming facial/neck hair and beards, cutting and dressing hair, fitting hairpieces, giving facial and scalp massages, and applying cosmetic treatments. Barbering students also prepare for licensure as professional barbers at various levels. To promote the success of barbering students, these two year programs include instruction in hair and scalp anatomy and physiology, hairpiece and toupee fitting, equipment operation, health and safety, customer service, and shop business practices.
