University of Southern California Rossier School of Education - Online School
Description
At the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, you can get a teaching credential as well as a master’s degree in only one year. But since the program is delivered online, you don’t even need to be in Southern California.
USC Rossier School of Education’s offerings include programs for those who wish to become certified as Multiple Subject Elementary School Teachers as well as those who want to get a Single Subject Credential to teach specific High School subjects.
While most credentialing programs take at least two years to complete and master’s degrees at least one additional year, USC awards its students a combined credential and master’s degree all in only one year.
The Rossier School also has an advanced master’s program for those who are already working as high school and elementary school teachers and wish to upgrade their skills and salary.
Another great feature of the USC program is that students outside of California may enroll in the program and even receive assistance from USC in obtaining the credential necessary to teach in their state of residence.
Given its unique and valuable offerings and the prestige of its school, admission to the program is quite competitive. Those who are admitted will be given academic and career support from USC’s faculty and support staff throughout the duration of their program.
Financial aid is available through loans and other sources to eligible students and those who teach in public schools will have some of their loans forgiven after teaching for a certain number of years.
