PIA is a not for profit post-secondary School of Specialized Technology in Aviation Maintenance and Aviation Electronics Technology

PIA's main campus in Pittsburgh is a specialized technical school which offers 21 month specialized associate degree programs leading towards the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification or the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) General Radiotelephone Operator's License (GROL).

Associate in Specialized Technology degrees are awarded in Aviation Maintenance Technology and Aviation Electronics Technology Programs.

PIA has cultivated a tradition of excellence in training some of the nation's best and brightest Aviation Maintenance and Avionics Technicians. Students learn from industry professionals in our classrooms, labs and hangars. Graduates can leave PIA in 21 months or less with a wide range of technical skills and the value of an industry-recognized education.

PIA offers one on one career placement and ongoing career services assistance to all alumni of PIA. Those seeking admissions to PIA must possess a high school diploma or GED and those still attending high school may be conditionally accepted, pending graduation from high school.
