Description
A full spectrum of Visual Arts majors can be found at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Whether you’re an aspiring fine artist or looking for professional training in an arts-oriented career, Ringling has a program for you.
Ringling’s 14 different majors run the gamut from Fine Arts to Computer Animation and from Painting to Photography and Digital Imaging. Ringling’s well-structured and comprehensive curriculum requires that all students take a certain number of foundational classes in the liberal arts as well as in Studio Art before proceeding to their major.
While Ringling isn’t affiliated with any religion, spiritual activities are a substantial part of student life and include spiritual support groups, worship services and a large organization for Jewish students.
Students can also become involved in campus student life through participation in Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, Cultural and Recreational student clubs and organizations.
Those who live locally and are interested in pursuing art for the first time or in reawakening an old interest may take classes through the continuing education division.
Those who are applying to degree programs will need to submit a portfolio, the main part of the application, along with other materials.
Financial aid is available for eligible students planning to attend Ringling.
