Description

The Tennessee Technology Center Covington, Tennessee, aims to serve the students and community of Tennessee through its competency-based technical programs.

Its goal is to provide training to help get students gainful employment upon a program’s completion or to advance students’ skills and increase technical knowledge, all of which will contribute to the economic and community development of Tennessee.

Programs at the technology center fall under three different categories: day programs, supplemental evening programs, and special industry programs. They are designed as open entry/open exit courses, allowing students to receive training that is self-paced and individualized.

Programs follow a trimester schedule. Some of the traditional daytime programs include:

The technology center now also offers online programs to distance learners. High school students may also earn high school credit through trade programs.

Tuition rates vary based on the number of hours taken. Additional fees may apply to certain programs, like Nursing. Financial aid is available at the federal and state level for eligible students.

Admissions requirements include a high school diploma or GED and immunization records for the MMR vaccine. The minimum age is 17, and high school students may attend with the proper permission.
