OIT Description

Oregon Institute of Technology now has many locations in Portland and one in Seattle, but its first and main campus is in Klamath Falls. It’s a traditional college campus, with student life that features over 40 clubs and organizations, athletics and various activities. A crucial component of this community is residence life, which is governed by the student-owned Residence Hall Association.

As you might expect, OIT’s academics are strongly biased toward science and technology. The university consists of the College of Engineering, Technology & Management, and the College of Health, Arts & Sciences. A variety of undergraduate majors are available in engineering, healthcare and natural science.

Admissions requirements for Oregon Institute of Technology vary based on the type of applicant. Incoming freshmen need to submit a high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores and pay an application fee. Applicants to graduate degree programs will find different admissions requirements based on the program.

Oregon Tech offers many merit scholarships, including the Presidential Scholarship and Engineering Honors Scholarship. Students can also apply for state and federal financial aid opportunities, as well as a number of external scholarships.
