La’ James International College is a professionally oriented institution that provides training for beauty careers. Unlike most cosmetology schools, however, La’James’ academics are extensive and diverse.
La’James Cedar Falls is no exception. The campus offers a variety of programs:
- Cosmetology
- Massage Therapy
- Esthetics
- Nail Technology
- Teacher Training
The Cosmetology program is available as an associate’s degree or diploma program. Likewise, students in the Massage Therapy program can also add the Esthetics curriculum to earn an associate’s degree.
As a vocational school, La’James Cedar Falls values practical experience as much as classroom learning. Cosmetology students can practice on real patrons with many product lines in the school salon. Esthetics, Nail Technology and Massage Therapy students have similar opportunities at the Tuscany Day Spa.
Financial aid is available at La’James Cedar Falls in the form of federal grants and loans. The college also funds the LJIC Scholarship, which awards up to $1500. Various outside scholarships can also provide assistance with tuition costs.
