Description

For flight training, you’d be hard-pressed to find a location more ideal than Utah. With endless wide-open airspace, beautiful landscapes and mountain ranges, flying in Utah is a unique and breathtaking experience. Best of all, student life at Utah Helicopter Flight Academy is full of such experiences.

Like the academy’s other campuses, UHFA Spanish Fork offers academics geared toward aspiring helicopter pilots. It currently provides the following training programs:

  • Private Pilot
  • Commercial Pilot
  • Instrument Certification
  • Flight Instructor Certification
  • Career Pilot

The Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot programs are designed for those who want focused training for specific pilot careers. The Career Pilot program is more extensive, and includes both commercial and private licensing.

The certification courses can help expand your flying skills in crucial areas. Instrument Certification can help you master the helicopter’s instruments, making it easier to fly in bad weather. Flight Instructor Certification is also a great way to build your resume as a pilot. Both of these certifications are included in the Career Pilot program.

Though the Utah Helicopter Flight Academy does not directly fund financial aid, external scholarships are available. Contact Utah Valley University’s Department of Aviation for more information.
