Description

As a graduate school for medical professions, Western University of Health Sciences strives to provide the highest level of academic excellence. Equally important, however, is the well-being of those in the university’s Patient Care Centers. Humanism is paramount in WesternU’s academics, and the university hopes to instill selflessness and caring in its students.

Western University of Health Sciences is divided into several colleges:

  • College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific
  • College of Veterinary Medicine
  • College of Allied Health Professions
  • College of Graduate Nursing
  • College of Pharmacy
  • College of Dentistry
  • College of Podiatric Medicine
  • Graduate College of Biomedical Sciences

The university offers master’s degree and doctoral degree programs in many diverse areas, including Physical Therapy, Veterinary Medicine, Osteopathy and Nursing.

WesternU has a surprisingly vibrant campus community for a graduate school. Student life gives access to about 90 organizations, including cultural, religious and professional clubs. Of course, there’s plenty to do in Pomona, as well, particularly if you’re willing to make the short drive to Los Angeles.

Federal grants and loans are a good source of financial aid at WesternU. The university also funds scholarships for incoming students.
