Description
As technical careers continues to evolve, it becomes increasingly important to have up-to-date knowledge of your field. Northshore Technical Community College aims to equip its students with the skills and information they need to succeed in a rapidly changing workforce.
NTCC accomplishes this through a variety of community and professional development programs. For example, the YouthBuild program helps people aged 16 to 24 work toward earning their GED, while also taking classes in Carpentry and Life Skills. Similarly, their career training and short term online courses allow working adults to hone their skills while working from home.
Northshore also recognizes the financial difficulties that many students face when attending college. Their online Net Price Calculator gives you an individualized estimate of what your education at NTCC will cost, factoring in housing, residency status, and financial aid opportunities.
The Hammond Area Branch Campus is conveniently located a couple miles east of Hammond, just off of Highway 190 East near I-12. The 13-acre campus offers over 15 programs to prepare you for careers as an electrician, nurse, EMT, building technology specialist, and more. As you study, you can get help from a College & Career Transitions Coordinator to find career opportunities after school.
