The objective of Michigan College of Beauty is to train cosmetology students and prepare them for entry in the beauty industry. The learning process is fostered and advanced in an atmosphere of an educational institution and pleasant surroundings, with the accent on curriculum and faculty and employing the most modern equipment and teaching methods. Michigan College of Beauty, since its inception, has set the highest standards for their graduates so that they meet the requirements of the Michigan State Board of Cosmetology.
Michigan College of Beauty is located on Dixie Highway between Walton and Andersonville Road, in the Waterford Village. Our building is a one-story 4900 square feet facility with the capacity to hold 245 students. Our spacious clinic area has 24 stations and is well designed. We have a junior classroom as well as a senior classroom for advanced classes. Our manicuring classroom has 20 manicuring stations. Requirements for entrance comply with the minimum standards of the Michigan State Board of Cosmetology. Transfer students will be given credits in accordance with the regulations of the Michigan State Cosmetology Board of Cosmetology. This school admits as regular students to the Cosmetology program, only persons having a certificate of graduation from a school of secondary education, or the recognized equivalent of such certificate.

Aestheticians cleanse, depilate, massage, and beautify the human body. This program allows individuals to function as licensed estheticians and skin care specialists. The program includes instruction in skin anatomy, physiology, and health, principles of nutrition, decontamination and infection control, health and safety, facial and body massage, body wrapping and spa treatments, temporary hair removal including waxing and tweezing, color and skin analysis, client consultation and care, applicable laws and regulations, business practices, and sometimes related alternative healing regimens. A program that prepares individuals to shape fingernails and toenails, remove unwanted skin and blemishes, apply polish and cosmetics to nails, and function as licensed manicurists or nail technicians/specialists. Includes instruction in manicuring theory; skin anatomy; nail growth, irregularities, and diseases; sterilization and sanitation; equipment and table maintenance; cuticle, blemish, and rough skin removal; nail filing, shaping, and polishing; cream application and extremity massage; nail sculpture and design art; product storage and use; customer service; laws and regulations; and business practices. A program that generally prepares individuals to cut, trim, and style scalp, facial, and body hair; apply cosmetic preparations; perform manicures and pedicures; massage the head and extremities; and prepare for practice as licensed cosmetologists in specialized or full-service salons. Includes instruction in hair cutting and styling, manicuring, pedicuring, facial treatments, shampooing, chemical applications, esthetics, shop management, sanitation and safety, customer service, and applicable professional and labor laws and regulations.
