Description
Beauty is a growing industry, but there’s also plenty of competition. In order to set yourself apart from the crowd, you need a thorough education that teaches exceptional skills and knowledge. Tiffin Academy of Hair Design aims to provide just that. Its professionally oriented academics have been successful, the proof of which is Tiffin’s nearly 90% job placement rate.
Tiffin Academy of Hair Design currently offers two programs: Managing Cosmetology and Managing Manicurist. The Cosmetology course strives for versatility, covering not just haircutting and styling, but also the basics of skin and nail care. The Managing Manicurist course is much shorter and focuses exclusively on nail care.
Both programs emphasize the business of beauty. Once they’ve passed the Ohio State Board Exam, graduates of Tiffin are qualified to work in salons as well as manage them. This is ideal if you’re interested in opening your own salon. Even if you’re not interested in salon ownership, a fundamental knowledge of business can open career opportunities as a manager or supervisor.
Tiffin has minimal admissions requirements. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and must pass a simple reading test. The school is also eligible for federal financial aid programs.
