Southwestern Community College exists in order that Area XIV community members have the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge sufficient for successful employment, higher education achievement, or adult and continuing education.

Southwestern Community College is a two-year, public institution located in Creston, Iowa, with centers in Red Oak and Osceola. We welcome anyone who desires and is committed to obtaining an education. SWCC offers industrial training, career and technical education, adult and continuing education, distance/online learning and courses for transfer.

Being SWCCsmart means making decisions that are right for you. Choose the academic program that meets your needs:

College Transfer Program – For students who will continue their education at a four-year institution. SWCC has transfer agreements with many colleges and universities to assure a smooth and easy transfer.

Career Option Programs – For students who want more options, this program allows you to either transfer to a four-year institution or directly enter the workplace.
Career and Technical Education Programs – For students who will immediately enter the workplace.

Adult and Continuing Education Programs – For individuals who need skill-refreshers or those interested in lifelong learning.
