Description

On West End Washington Street in Laredo, Texas is a school where you can earn an associate’s degree or certificate in just one to two years: Laredo Community College.

LCC’s main campus is the Fort McIntosh campus, named after a fallen officer in the Mexican-American war. The school has a long tradition of honoring military members, with many buildings and streets honoring war heroes. LCC also has the South Campus, situated on the banks of the Rio Grande.

Among the majors available for study are Automotive Collision & Repair Technology, Business Administration, Carpentry Technology, Computer Information Systems, Emergency Medical Services, Industrial Education, Medical Assisting, and Pre-Professional programs.

In addition to a collection of strong academic programs, there are also many unique campus services which help create the best possible college experience. Student life is enhanced from services such as the fine arts center, environmental science center, recreational facilities, a bookstore, dining services, assessment center, student success center, tutoring services, and writing centers.

If you think that college just isn’t possible for you because of the cost, take a few minutes out of your day to visit the counselors of the LCC financial aid office.

They have information on how you can apply for loans, payment plans, work-study, and scholarships, which are awarded based on athletics, academics, need, community activities, leadership positions, or any combination of those.
