On West End Washington Street in Laredo, Texas is a school where you can earn an associate’s degree or certificate in just one to two years: Laredo Community College.LCC’s main campus is the Fort McIntosh campus, named after a fallen officer in the Mexican-American war. The school has a long tradition of honoring military members, with many buildings and streets honoring war heroes. LCC also has the South Campus, situated on the banks of the Rio Grande.
