NYIT Description

The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) is a global, private institute of higher learning. The Old Westbury campus in a 100-plus-acre wooded campus where academics, intellectualism, culture, and commerce come together.

The Old Westbury campus offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs. Academics at NYIT go beyond the textbook. As students take classes for one of the over 50 majors available, they will be subjected to real world experiences and may have opportunities for internships, professional projects, and research projects.

College life is taken a step further than most schools with the implementation of co-curricular clubs and activities that help students learn essential communication and leadership skills and get experiences worthy of their resume.

The Old Westbury campus has residence halls available for students to live in and a shuttle service is available to transport students between campus and the residence halls 7 days per week. Student clubs are open to all NYIT students, and club fairs are held at the beginning of each semester so students can learn about what is available and ask questions of club members.

Financial aid is available through loans and through a number of school scholarships to eligible students.
