Career School of NY

Founded in 2004, Career School of NY was created to bring Staten Island something that our community had sorely lacked: a home grown Cosmetology School featuring the most modern and creative course of study. Our featured curriculum is geared to insure that every aspect of the New York State mandated licensure examination is covered fully and in depth.

Located a quick and easy two blocks from the Staten Island Ferry, our school's classrooms are designed to allow students the maximum amount of time to practice hands on skills. Students spend a substantial part of their day in the lab rooms and salon working on both mannequins and live "heads".

Student hairstylists are given every opportunity to explore their unique vision, while a dedicated staff of instructors and administrators are there every step of the way to help them incorporate their own style within the realities of business and commerce.

Books are not the only avenue to an education and learning should be experienced in a variety of ways. We have a very close and active relationship with the leading hair and cosmetics companies, as well as celebrity stylists who constantly visit to demonstrate the hottest styles and techniques.
