Description

Barrett and Company School of Hair Design in Nicholasville, Kentucky, offers a comprehensive and thorough program of study in cosmetology that gives students highly detailed instruction in coloring techniques and customer service skills through hands-on methods of learning. Barrett also offers refresher classes for graduates.

Cosmetology students undergo a step-by-step process, first learning basic hairstyling, cutting, permanent waving, manicuring and facial techniques. They then progress to more advanced styling work including coloring methods. At this point students also begin their work in the salon, where they develop styling and management techniques under the supervision of Barrett faculty.

After students have graduated and are working in the industry, they may come back to Barrett to brush up on their skills.

Those seeking admissions need to have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 16 years of age.

Many Barrett students take out federal and private loans to help cover tuition costs, and the majority of students graduate with a low amount of loan debt. Additional sources of financial aid may be discussed with a Barrett representative.
